Help Us Build Brighter, More Independet Futures
What We Do
Spectrum Independence Living (SpIndL) is a nonprofit built on the foundation of empathy, acceptance, and growth. Our mission is to provide affordable services that empower young autistic and neurodiverse adults to live independently in the River Valley. Through dedicated programs in life skills, employment, housing, and financial management, we’re forging a path where every individual has the support they need to thrive.
SpIndL provides affordable services that support and boost young adults with neurodivergent conditions, such as autism spectrum disorder, to living independently. In the program, independence will be coached and practiced by obtaining employment, living in their own or shared housing, and managing their own finances and responsibilities. Through SpIndL and community partnerships, individuals will receive coaching in life skills, employment, and social behavior; mentorships; safety checks; and social opportunities.

Our Vision
A world where all neurodivergent individuals have access to comprehensive support and job opportunities that empower them to live independently and confidently.
Comprehensive support should be accessible regardless of financial ability to help them develop life skills in early adulthood to increase their potential to live a life of full independence, increasing their probability of long-term success.
Life Skills Curriculum
We’re developing a comprehensive, practical, and engaging life skills curriculum designed specifically for neurodivergent learners. From budgeting and cooking to social navigation and job prep — we’re equipping young adults with tools that truly prepare them for independent living.
Because quality support should be accessible right here in the River Valley — without needing to leave your community to find it.
Program Sponsorships
Not every family has the financial means to access ongoing support. Your donation helps us offer sliding scale options and full scholarships to participants who need them most.
Because support should never be out of reach due to cost. Everyone deserves a shot at independence.
Neurodivergent Social Events
Social skills grow through connection — and connection happens in community. Your support helps us host safe, fun, inclusive events where neurodivergent individuals can engage, practice social interaction, and build lasting relationships.
Because practicing life skills should feel like living, not just learning.
Become a Sponsor. Get Involved.
When you support SpIndL, you’re doing more than donating. You’re showing up for a future where neurodivergent young adults feel empowered, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are.
We’re just getting started. And with your help, the future looks very bright.
Your generosity fuels real change for young autistic and neurodivergent adults in the River Valley. Whether it’s funding life-changing programs, making our services accessible to every family, or creating space for social connection, every dollar makes a difference.
At SpIndL, we believe independence shouldn’t be a privilege — it should be a possibility for everyone.
